About Tippy Taps

Tippy Taps is a non-profit animal rescue organization committed to reducing animal shelter overpopulation, providing care for animals in need, and preparing them for loving homes.

Our team works tirelessly to create a lasting impact on the lives of these animals.

Rescue is raw. Rescue is real. Although there are insightful minds and DVM degrees there is not a single handbook that says this is the way and the timeline. You try. You persevere. You give love. You hope they heal and support them to overcome.

Cheddar had severe persistent diarrhea. Did it cause the abcess? We don’t know but it sure complicated the healing process.
Did we give baths around the clock keeping the wound clean while dragging along sleepless to our day jobs? We sure did because that sweet face was worth it.

2 weeks. It took 2 weeks to finally have a glimmer of hope. 2 weeks to see a litter box with a log. 2 weeks to look at that butt and say WOW look at that progress. Cheddar is a fighter and we thank him for his will to live. With our last vet visit was a warning of 3 days. We had 3 days to see some improvement or start finding a surgeon to debride the infected tissue and see what was salvageable.

We share this in hopes you understand rescue is not just happy playful kittens. When we say we’re full it’s because we have all hands on deck for a leaking puss filled butt with a drain. Were exhausted. The accounts are drained. Cheddar is on an uphill stride but will need to fully heal before our vets assess the damage.

Please support us by adopting our healthy animals ready to go to their forever homes. When animals get adopted we are able to use the space in our foster homes from more animals in need.

Introducing Lillie🌷
Her body shows her history but it does not write her future. She was found wandering in west Fresno missing hair, under weight and severely overbred. She’s looking for a place to lay by your feet and join you for dinner dates.

Our girl got to take an adventure with a day foster! She road amazing in the car, loading up all by herself and sitting nicely in the back seat. Only two drops of excited drool so she’s quite the respectful passenger.
After her ride she waltz in to @madduckcraftnw and gave puppy eyes ordering “iced water and pup patty, medium, please” before giving her most passionate flop on the floor.
After dinner she got to hangout in a new home where she made herself comfortable on the kitchen rug while a few guests came over. She’s happiest sleeping at your feet.

Her day foster reported that she was an absolute doll. “Very relaxed and comfortable in new spaces. Her favorite part was rolling around on grass. It was such a joy to get her out and see her just be calm and take in the scenery. She’s such good girl she did not even accept the sneaky French fry my dad tried to share.”

If you’re looking for the true embodiment of a House Hippo Pitty, Lillie is your girl.

Introducing Queenie, Max (tabby/white), and Ollie (grey/white)! 🐾

Queenie did such a good job raising these babies and finding the perfect foster mom to help her find a life off the streets. Queenie has a perfect white bib and rotund belly to pay homage to her Victorian era namesake. She deserves a home fit for a queen with royal servants to scritch her scratches as she pleases. Her loving headbutts will remind you that you are to love her, now. Anticipated to be a TNR, her ear may be tipped, but she has no desire for the outside world anymore.

Not looking for your calm demeanor cozy up on the couch best friend? Her two boys are happy to bring kitten crazy up and down your hallways. At 3 months old they are full of exploration and silly antics.

Papa Pete is neutered and ready to mingle 🕺🕺

After hoping for an owner to come forward after this little buddy was found wandering alone in the heat, we secretly hoped we had more time with his sweet face, wet kisses and cuddles. He enjoys the little things in life he wants nothing more than to snuggle up to watch movies sharing your fuzzy blankie or to sit outside to enjoying the sunshine with his beard hairs blowing in the wind at your feet.

Pete is READY for his forever home. Pete is up to date with DHPP, rabies, bordetella, is microchipped, neutered, and so excited to tippy tap his little grinch feet down the hallway of his new forever home. His groomer and vet staff rave about his personality and we humbly agree, Pete is perfection.

Meet Bobby!

Bobby has been fostered with us for 72 hours and is the cuddliest, sweetest baby.

He was found wandering busy Fresno streets Shaw & Brawley and was shut down and so tired and scared. He was found with a deep laceration that has obviously been there for awhile.

He is finding his voice and becoming such a fun cuddle bug.

Bobby has an appointment Monday morning to get his arm checked out and stitched up! We know it's gonna cost us! But he is worth it! 🥰

Bobby has a foster home lined up and we want to send him off with all the appropriate supplies!

😿 Our baby boy Squirtle 🐢has been through the trenches this week. After 5 days of intensive care 👩‍⚕️🩺 at home 🏠 he was not responding well and needed a vet visit for more serious intervention. He is also struggling with a skin infection that we would like to move toward treating orally. 💊Please help us support the littles who do not have a voice. Squirtle was one of our kids found dumped in a box with his siblings all alone on the country. 😾 We are so ever grateful for the Good Samaritan that collected them and kept them safe until we could arrive. Helping us pay this bill allows us to stay out of debt to cover our next bill in the future. We appreciate any little bit. 😸

These little ones were found in a shed that was to be condemned. Their wonderful foster stepped up to be their hero. Their fur mama has done an awesome job raising them to be as sweet and full of purr cuteness as herself! Beginning to wean, these guys and gals will be available within the next few weeks once vaccines are completed and spayed/neutered.

She can be a little shy at first and takes a moment to warm up—but once she does, get ready for endless tail wags and affection. Daisy is full of love, energy, and curiosity. She LOVES water more than anything! She is down for swimming, splashing, and soaking up every drop. If there’s water nearby, Daisy’s all in!

She also enjoys tug-of-war, romping with other dogs, and cuddling up at bedtime. She’s house-trained, follows a consistent routine, and is excelling with potty training. Iris plays hard and is a brave girl. 🐱 She is fostered with adult cats, but they prefer their space. She approaches other cats ready to play but respects their boundaries when they are not. Her favorite toys are anything with feathers and dangle toys that she can play together with you. She does not like being alone, so Iris is looking for a family or someone who works from home eager to spoil her. Due to her quick zooms and affectionate weaving around your legs we do not suggest Iris to a home with elderly family members.

Meet Jodi!
Jodi is a 5-month-old shepherd mix and the sweetest, smartest girl! She was found on the side of the road in a box with her sister. They were left with a bag of dog food, a bowl & pee pads. But those days are behind her now!

She is incredibly intelligent and eager to please. She can be trained to do just about anything. In her foster home, they’ve never heard her bark! She will cry briefly in her kennel but quickly settles down. She is mostly potty trained and picking up new skills fast.

Jodi is friendly with everyone she meets. Men, women, children, and even babies. She adores other animals, including the cat in her foster home, and is respectful when told to give space. With her low prey drive, she would make an excellent ranch dog. She has great recall, loves to follow her people, and is happiest when she’s by their side.

She is incredibly intelligent and eager to please. She can be trained to do just about anything. In her foster home, they’ve never heard her bark! She will cry briefly in her kennel but quickly settles down. She is mostly potty trained and picking up new skills fast.

Jodi is friendly with everyone she meets. Men, women, children, and even babies. She adores other animals, including the cat in her foster home, and is respectful when told to give space. With her low prey drive, she would make an excellent ranch dog. She has great recall, loves to follow her people, and is happiest when she’s by their side.

Sweet little Iris has come so far, but she’s still fighting to fully heal. She should be showing more improvement by now, so our vet recommended lab tests to figure out exactly what’s holding her back. With a better diagnosis, we can give her the most targeted treatment to finally beat this. It only gets better from here!!

She’s still coughing, and her lingering infection is slowing the healing of her skin. For now, her vet wants to stick with topical treatment instead of oral antifungals, but she needs some TLC before we can fully thrive!

Iris is so close to blooming, and we won’t give up on her. Shes come a long way from the crusted eyes and awful pneumonia.

Her last vet bill costed $220! But it is worth it to see Iris start getting better!

She was lethargic and did not want to eat. She needed help—and fast. We were afraid she wouldn't make it.

Miss Iris was rushed to the vet, where she was diagnosed with pneumonia and started on medications to help her heal. Despite her rough start, this little fighter has shown nothing but courage, sweetness, and the most heart-melting purrs.

Now on the road to recovery, she’s proving to be a gentle and loving soul. Iris loves soft blankets, cozy naps, and all the affection she can get. She’s already dreaming of a forever home where she can feel safe, adored, and healthy for the rest of her life. 😻

We are doing everything we can to give Iris the care she needs, but we can’t do it alone.
